Your Health Data
All of the information you enter into PocketHealth is stored on your mobile device. Cognovant does not receive or store any of your health information. We believe this is one of the advantages of PocketHealth – you are in control.
If you choose to share some or all of your information with your health care provider or anyone else, the decision is yours.
Security
All of the health information stored in PocketHealth is encrypted on your device. It can only be accessed using your user name and password. The application does allow you to select Remember Me if you do not want to use a password each time you open PocketHealth. This is provided for your convenience, but our recommendation is to always use a password to keep your information secure.
You can always access the In Case of Emergency view from the login screen without entering a password so that an emergency care provider is able to see critical health information when this is necessary. When the ICE view is accessed like this, you cannot view any other part of PocketHealth until you log in.
What we capture
PocketHealth has some tools embedded that report errors when they occur so we can fix them, and that count what type of actions our users take as they use the application so that we can improve how the application works. We do not capture your identity or any of the specific data entered.
In other words, we count how many times our users look at a particular screen, how often they edit screens, how many medications or allergies are on a list, and other behaviors. We do not know what medications or results are there, and we don’t track this at the individual user level.
We gather the overall number of users by type of device. We do not know who has what device, just a count of the totals.
We believe that keeping track of information like this at an anonymous, global level helps us make the application work better for you. We do not want to see what you have entered into the application – that information is private, and it is completely under your control.
Cognovant uses these statistics internally to improve PocketHealth. We do not share this information with any other parties.

Your health information is secure and private on your device and is completely under your control.
